The Danish brand NN07 has launched NN07 by Sketch, a concept store  located in the Stokstraat district, the heart of Maastricht’s city centre. The Stokstraat, known for its historic appearance, is one of Maastricht’s oldest and most prestigious streets hosting luxurious stores and gastronomic experiences. The street has known many identities over the past decades believing it is able to serve the needs of different individuals and personalities, emphasizing NN07´s deadly dedication to celebrating diversity.

NN meaning No Nationality, the brand believes in personalities not nationalities.

In a world where connection is almost positively indefinable by the complexity of our intertwined society, boundaries have disappeared making the world limitless and more accessible. Modern nomads thrive in this world of borderless opportunities. Following this vision, our store design is based on feeling nationality-free, by being a citizen of the world and traveling without having a fixed base.

From that perspective, name the coolest and most iconic travel vehicle - The Aluminum Airstream Caravan, known for its typical rounded shapes in aluminum. Inspired by the impressive vehicle, we designed and implemented rounded aluminium elements which date back to the 30s when aluminium Airstream motorhomes were used for traveling. The design formed the basis for the iconic and unique head-turning bar and presentation elements within the store; the coffee bar, resting on boulders, and presentation tables.

Combining exclusive design and natural elements we chose to incorporate local Meuse-boulders. Large boulders extracted from the river beds of the Meuse in Maastricht, naturally rounded by the water. At the entrance, boulders are flattened making them ideal for highlighting products. In the back of the store a boulder serves as mirror stand.

The store originally occupies five different historic buildings. Challenging the uniformity of the store, we designed three light lines that run from front to back creating an optical connection. Clothes are displayed on the stainless steel clothes bars. The Italian plaster on all walls, floors and elements of the store form the basis of the serene and calm basic tone interior.

In contrast to the earthy-like and light surroundings the cobalt blue stairs in the centre of the store lead to the complete cobalt blue basement.

Yves Klein's wet dream.

A spacious feeling is created by the mirrored sneaker wall in the back of the basement.

All interior elements are custom made of high-quality and durable materials, matching NN07 and other exclusive and made-to-last brands and products – perfumes, books, shoes - the concept store offers.
